Ear drops
Description:
An oily suspension for the treatment of otitis extarna in the dog and cat.
Composition:
Each g. contains: Diethanolamine fusidate 5 mg Framcetin sulphate 5 mg Nystatin 100.000 i.u. Prednisolone 2.5 mg
Indications:
Otitis externa in the dog and cat. Otodectes cynotis infestation in the dog and cat.
CHARACTERISTICS:
Canaural Ear drops are specifically formulated for the treatment of Otitis externa in the dog and cat. Diethanolamine fusidate (=fucidin) is an antibiotic which is highly active against staphylococci, The most commonly found bacterial pathogen in otitis externa in the dog and cat. Framycetin sulphate is a broad spectum antibiotic which has been incorporate for its activity against negative organisms associated with otitis externa, in particular Pseudomonas spp. and Proteus spp. Nystatin is highly active against yeasts. The yeast Malassezia pachydlermatitis is associated with otitis extarna in the dog and cat either by itself of with other organisms. Trials have demonstrated that Canaural is effective in the ear mite Otodectes cynotis in the dog and cat. Prednisolone is incorporated for its antiinflammatory activity.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
5-10 drops of Canaural should be instilled into the ear canal twice daily.

Plastic squeeze dropper bottle of 15 ml x 10 in boxes.
